Andrew Kaszowski
enjoys communicating…

>> I’ve set up a separate photo/blog website that documents the five-month globe-spanning adventure I took in 2008. Please visit “where is Andrew now?” <<

You’ve come to the “about Andrew” page - I hope that means you’d like to find out a little bit about the guy in that picture to the right. Read on for a third-person bio about the brain behind Impression One.

Andrew is a professional communicator specializing in the synergy of communication and design.

Legend has it that he was born talking; and he hasn’t stopped communicating since (though some wish he would).

Andrew graduated in May 2006 from the inaugural class of the University of Guelph-Humber in Toronto - the affiliate post-secondary program of the University of Guelph and Humber College. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Media Studies and a Diploma in Public Relations. Prior to studying at Guelph-Humber, he spent one year in English and Communication Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University with a minor in Business. He attended John Paul II Catholic Secondary School in London, Ontario.

In addition to founding Impression One as a professional outlet for his freelance work, Andrew has served as a corporate communicator. He cut his teeth in the working world with a communications and marketing internship at Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital. This led to a full-time position in his hometown of London asĀ  Communications Consultant with Lawson Health Research Institute, the research institute of the city’s hospitals. Andrew contributed to informing the public and internal audiences about the breakthrough science at Lawson.

In a slightly weird coincidence, Andrew’s office at Lawson just happened to be one floor above where he was born. Being so “close to home” partially contributed to him developing a quarter-life crisis: a strong yearning for adventure.

So, in January 2008, Andrew lived out his dream of merging communication work with worldwide travel. He took his writing and design experience to sea, setting sail as Assistant Editor of Guest Publications for Crystal Cruises’ four-month 2008 World Cruise. He concluded this adventure with a month backpacking Europe to thoroughly satisfy his travel bug. You can retrace the journey around the world at his photo/blog site: “where is Andrew now?

Andrew is now back in Canada - doing some freelance work, seeking out his next exciting full-time job and discovering what the next chapter in life’s journey will look like.

He is an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators.

Andrew would love to hear from you.
