Photos! On Board The Canadian: from the B.C. Rockies to Vancouver

The sun sets as The Canadian navigates the Rockies
Although I could have easily spent an enternity falling in love with Winter amongst the frozen beauty of Jasper (and relaxing!)… I was beyond excited to hop back on board the train and gaze awe-struck at the soaring, jagged peaks of the Rocky Mountains heading through British Columbia toward my final destination of Vancouver.

Words alone cannot possibly describe this stretch of the journey that everyone who takes VIA Rail’s The Canadian anticipates the most: the incredible Canadian Rocky Mountains. Enjoy my photos and captions that give you just a flavour of the wonders that filled my eyes. Of particular interest, the route that The Canadian now takes along the northerly CN Rail lines passes right beneath the tallest peak in all the Rockies – Mount Robson. Incredible!

Mount Robson is the highest peak of the Rocky Mountains and the most "prominent" - greatest top to bottom distance
