What is “where is Andrew now?”
It’s about “The Everyday Journey”
What can I say, I caught the wonderlust/explorer/travel bug/quarter-life crisis at age 25… and a few years later it still hasn’t left me. I call it living life with passion.
And when I apply this passion to seeing the world, it’s called The Everyday Journey… or “where is Andrew now?” if you prefer.
How it all began…
Yep, I’m a bit of an explorer. After one too many inspirational seminars through school and work, I decided I wanted to be that person who lives his life with passion. In 2008, I found a way to make it around the world and get paid to do it: I worked for almost five months on a cruise ship.
In a flash I went from setting feet in 2 countries… to 36.
The next chapter: making every day a journey…
That chapter of life ended; but now that it’s over I have learned something surprising…
That traveling isn’t a destination or a trip… it’s a journey… one you can take every day.
I learned that I get the same excitement visiting Toronto for a day as I did when I was venturing to the other side of the world. This is good news! It allows for settling down without giving up the adventure of life.
So, right now I’ve managed to find a bit of stability: bought a house in my hometown and got a neat job as a web producer/online communications guy.
And I keep exploring with new trips near and far.
Join me on The Everyday Journey…
My first blog was about one huge trip around the world. Now, I’m going to keep an ongoing blog of The Everyday Journey. Come back often to see new things near and far, and watch my “countries visited” count increase.
That’s what “where is Andrew now?” is all about.
